ROLLFOR D Mandrel Lubricant
DESCRIPTION
ROLLFOR D is a mandrel lubricant specially developed to withstand the extreme operative conditions
suffered by the mandrels used in continuous rolling of seamless steel pipes. It is a dry powder containing solid lubricants,
binders, wetting aids, selected rheological additives, dispersing and suspending agents which have in our formulation the
property to impart the mandrel surfaces with even lubricating and protective coating strong enough as to permit a smooth and
continuous rolling of steel seamless pipes. By reducing the friction coefficient to a low value, mandrels can operate with
efficiency and therefore pipes can be manufactured with a low cost incidence due to lubrication.

ROLLFOR D must be diluted with water
before its use. The procedure of dilution involves the incorporation of water into a reservoir with continuous agitation provided
via blades at a controlled speed. This procedure will require approximate 2 and ½ hours and the final product will
be ready when the resultant viscosity is of the order of 80 cps (Brookfield Spindle 2 at 10 rpm and 25°C).
METHOD OF APPLICATION
To obtain good mandrel coverage it is necessary to
apply the ROLLFOR D through a controlled spray using an airless spraying device as lubricating system.
STORAGE
Three years if maintained in a cool and dry place.
